My german writing is pretty rusty, but I read and understand well.
So please feel free to answer in german.

I just bought a Weltklang Eb Tuba with serial number 65623 out of Poland. I
wonder if you could tell me when it was manufactured. Additional information
regarding this tuba would be much appreciated.

Hallo Stig,

Ihre Weltklang-Tuba wurde im März 1972 gebaut. Sie war Teil von eines Auftrags über 6 Stück. Nähere Informationen sind in den Büchern leider auch nicht enthalten.

Wenn Ihre Tuba 3 Zylinderventile besitzt, dann ist es das damalige Modell Nr. 91. Ist Ihr Instrument mit 4 Zylinderventilen gefertigt, so handelt es sich um Modell Nr. 92.

Been away for some time and didn't see your answer until now.

Thank you very much for the info. So it has been around for some time then.
My tuba is equipped with 4 rotary valves. So when you say Zylinderventilen I think of perinet/piston valves.
How does this fit your model numbering? And is it in fact made as a copy of another (B&S) brand/model?

Hallo Stig,

Zylinderventile und "Rotary Valves" bezeichnen in der heutigen Lesart das gleiche Ventilsystem. Auch wurde und wird das Zylinderventil schon mal "Drehventil" genannt, aber auch damit ist das gleiche System gemeint.

Somit ist davon auszugehen, dass Sie das damalige Modell Nr. 92 besitzen.
