Re: CAKEIL
Hello Francesco,
C. A. Keil was a wholesaler of musical instruments in Markneukirchen, your instrument will be made by an anonym craftsmen in our town or our region like many others in the 19th and early 20th century.
Unfortunately I have less information and data about Keil-Familiy. But we have an old an beautiful grave in our cementery.
I think, there was Carl August Keil sen. you can read his name on you instrument. In the period around the year 1900 there are two Keil-companys mentioned at Markneukirchen (may by the sons of C. A. Keil sen.): C. A. Kail jun. â a string maker, and Friedrich Keil â a dealer with musical instrument.
I can have a look in our church records to find the exact relationsships.
But this will be tast in the New Year.
Best regards
E. Weller
