A Majestic Aristocrat tenorsax

Beitrag von jreitsma »

Hi,

Here are a few pictures of my old Majestic Aristocrat tenorsax. It must be another one from Eugen Schuster, as already written here in the forum. Does anyone know who actually built these saxophones? I guess they were all copying each other, so it is hard to tell. The sax has rolled tone holes and is mechanically of a fairly good quality.

The low B and Bes are mounted on the left side and should be protected by something. Unfortunately, it is missing from my sax and I was unable to find any other picture of this sax. My closest guess up to now is that it must have been something similar as the Buescher Aristocrat has, because I can see that there 4 broken soldering points on each side. You will understand it when you see the Buescher.

A few more pictures...

Note that the only visible text is Majestic Aristocrat (Aristocrat is quoted), nothing about its origin, probably as not the hurt the chances for export. I have also the original casing. The sax was originally sold by music shop Brugman in Gaanderen in the Netherlands. The tiny text near the serial number is Majestic Aristocrat International Trade Mark Reg.
