Hello from Australia.
This seems to be a very useful and interesting website and forum.
Sorry for posting in English - my German is no good at all after so many years without use!
My wife has a Weltklang F / B flat compensator French horn (waldhorn - I think that is in German?).
Serial number is 167757. It was purchased new for her in Australia some time ago.
It sounds pretty good.
I wonder if you are able to tell us some more about it, such as date of manufacture, who exactly made it, that sort of thing.
It would also help if you were able to recommend where to go for spares, too.
If you could reply in English, that would be really helpful. If you prefer not to, don't worry - I'll get someone to translate .
Many thanks for your help.
Regards,
Bill

Re: Weltklang F / B flat compensator horn - wish to know abo
Hi Bill,
your wife has a compensated double horn no. 89, "Standard Model". It was built in December 1980. Manufacturer of "Weltklang"-Doppelhorns was the company "VEB B & S Markneukirchen / Klingenthal", here in Saxony / Germany.
In the original books you can read that a contract has been built from 20 in December 1980. The craftsman named Emil Hamm. This "Weltklang"- team built largely with the same parts as the "Hans Hoyer-Team".
Located on the Reciver a letter?
Original spare parts are no longer available, but it can be pretty much repair and replace everything.
Greetings from the Vogtland
